18.

Happy Monday! Hope y'all had a good weekend! I had my frozen yogurt and some pizza from BJ's. oh man it was sooo good. But I was surprised how much less I ate. Their mini pizzas are meant to be a personal size, small enough for one person to eat (every time I have ever gone I've finished a mini)...and I only ate half of it! I was just too full. Which is really good :) Okay real quick...MEN, don't read this next sentence, please go to the next paragraph. Okay ladies...mother nature visited me this morning...blah! I told my husband last night, I'm worried about what the scale is going to say tomorrow I feel SO heavy. and then this morning happened and I was like OOOOHHHHHH! ;-)

Okay men you can read again. So Friday I weighed 296.4 which you all knew, but Saturday I weighed 295! WOO! That's 27 lbs! This weekend I had a lot of time when I was feeling very sick to my stomach or really dizzy. I like to walk 2 miles a day Mon-Fri and 1 mile Saturday but Friday was so bad for me I went to bed at 7pm!!! So I obviously didn't do my walking Friday night or Saturday morning, add that with my treats and what the women know and I gained a pound this weekend. Which is fine, I'm not worried about it at all! That's still 2.8 lbs lost last week :) In order to weigh 230 when I go to California this Christmas (if you all remember my -9 lbs a month until then- post) I need to lose another 3 pounds in 8 days. Let's hope I can do this!!! This morning I'm back at it, I enjoyed having my treats, but I'm glad to be back to my schedule! Until next time!

  1. I ate at BJs on Saturday! Are you in Dallas? :)
I had the balsamic roasted chicken breast with salad greens. I felt good about making a good choice at a restaurant. And it's my first time leaving without having one of their amazingly heaven-touched Pizookies.

I only lost a total of 1.2 lbs for my 2nd week, but it was the aunt flow week, so I'm glad to get any loss in weight at all. I had gained 3lbs at one time during that week, but I went back down. Whew! Now THAT was a bad day. I'm currently seeking out a really awesome low or no carb cookbook.

  2. oh my total is 3.2 lbs so far. I'm trying not to let that frustrate me because my doctor told me that my healthy rate of loosing would be 1 to 2 lbs a week. But I REALLY want to loose 5 lbs a week! lol

  3. Woo hoo Sharper! No, I'm in Austin!!! I always feel great when I make really good choices at restaurants. But I knew I was going to BJs for my treat, and I knew I was going to eat that pizza. I had been planning it for 3 weeks hahahaha. So I'm just excited I didn't finish it! AND YES THE PIZOOKIES! I'm so glad she didn't even ask us if we wanted one. I might have had trouble saying no haha. That's still great! I'm super proud of you! Yea if I told my Doctor I was trying to lose weight she would say that I would only gain...so...hmm. Showing her wrong. As long as you're losing that's what's important. And I'm excited you got right back at it and lost those 3 lbs you gained! woo hoo!

  4. Molly, just joined up. Saw you on Mary's FB site and wanted to join you then but couldn't remember what my pswd was. I knew I scribbled it down somewhere and finally found it !! So here I am. Read The Thyroid Diet(most of it) and my brain kicked into gear, especially after reading your blog. So, this morning was the dreaded weigh-in and measuring, took a 2 mile walk and ate pretty good. I'm keeping track of my water intake as well. I'm hoping that this will help me at least get back on track with helping myself. I appreciate all that you have put into ths blog, it's been very helpful. Keep up the great work you're doing with losing. You're a wonderful inspiration !

  6. I'm dieting myself (on thyroid meds - never could lose before I was on them), and I am losing about 1 lb per week - I don't stick to the diet 7 days, though - probably only 5 days - so 1 lbs per week is about right for me. It's S L O W, but I do feel that it's what I can handle. Nice to see someone so motivated as you are, Molly! Rooting for you, but I do get a bit jealous that you're losing faster than I am. ;-D

Paula -- Are you doing the thyroid diet or are you doing something else? I'm sorry you're not losing as fast as you want to I'll be praying for that, and thank you so much :) I'll for sure be rooting for you too! :)

  12. Oh, that's weird because I'm on the same cycle too!! I'm down 7 total since giving up gluten (about 5 weeks)... it's definitely slower than I'd like, (seems to have slowed down) but I'm making my eating plan right now with mary's book and trying to stick to it!! What a challenge!

Congrats on your successful week! :)

  13. Courtney that's still great! Thyroid patients typically lose 1 lb a week IF that. So you're doing great! Geeze...we must all be on a crazy thyroid cycle. hahahahaa

  19. Yes! you can ask....remember when I told you I was rushed to the e.r.? The pain I had was in my abdomen and it was caused by a ruptured cyst in my uterus...Well I believe God allows things to happen so that he can reveal other things to us....in my case they found two fibroids in my uterus! Yea, I was pretty freaked out sooooooo, my ob gyn basically told me I needed to have surgery, she did say depending on the size of the fibroids would depend on what type of surgery..there is the laparscopic surgery she can do if the fibroids are small and if they are large then she would have to do the more invasive surgery (kinda like a c-section to remove my uterus :(...but it's ok I'm ok with the removal of my uterus. I have 3 kids I had my tubes tied so I'm ok with it. I am praying that she will be able to do the laparscopic surgery to remove the fibroids and uterus the recovery time is only 2 weeks, compared to the other surgery where It takes 6 weeks to recover!. So pray for me. I'll be okay I'm leaving it all in God's hands. Man I didnt walk yesterday but today I will. Thanks for your concern Molly! Your almost at your 30 lb weight loss!! woo-hoo!

  20. oh gosh Brenda...I'm so sorry :( I will definitely be praying for you...when you know you'll have to give me the date of the surgery. Everything will be great God always has a plan!
