Hello friends! How are you doing on the Thyroid Diet?? Anything exciting to share?? I can tell I already feel so much better. I don't get sick when I eat like this which is a nice relief!

How about any recipes that you've fallen in love with? Let me know!

  1. Not too great for me :( But I have been kinda sick the last two days so Im starting anew tomorrow. I have tried to make better choices the last couple days though. And I do feel better since I have cut out the junk food and started to walk again.

  2. Going good here! I'm quite proud of myself. I love sweets so staying away from them is hard for me. I've been to the gym several times this week. Monday I start a bootcamp (MWF) so I hope I can survive. Lorrie

  3. Molly, Can you help me calculate the calories I can consume. It might be my math, but total I came up with was 1800+...*freaked me out lol* If I weigh 250 and Im 5'2 :( what should I be consuming?? Please help I would love to follow this diet as I have been forever trying to lose weight. I was diagnosed hypothyroid last year and I just got my meds sorted. Any advice would be appreciated. :)

  4. Hi, Molly! I'm not doing the thyroid diet, I'm doing a diet called The Paleo Diet, and there are some amazing paleo recipes out there. One of my favourites is from the Civilized Cavemen Blog and its called Coconut Griddle Cakes. It's super easy, just eggs, shredded coconut (no sugar added), and honey or maple syrup. I am specifically mentioning this because coconut helps inflammation and other hypo symptoms. Also, these cakes are so delicious and filling! I add some ginger, cinnamon, and today I added some cacao.

    As an aside, I've been gluten free/paleo for six weeks and have lost 15lbs at last weigh in! I can't believe it!

    Good luck with your hypothyroid diet! I'm *sort of* doing it with you :) Just keep focusing on feeling better because you are absolutely gorgeous no matter what size you are!

  5. Hey Molly! Not sure where to post for our Monday check-in ... so I'll just guess here :) At first I was bummed because it was slow going but when I got on the scale today I had lost 3 lbs! Woohoo! I think for me the key is I'm drinking way more water, not eating after 8pm, and making sure I eat a very healthy breakfast. That healthy breakfast keeps me from wanting to snack and "ruin my good start" for the day! Yay. I am going back to my exercise class tonight so we'll see how that goes.

  6. I did not lose any but I got sick durning the week so I think that hindered me. So Im trying really really hard this week!! Tammie...any breakfast suggestions? Breakfast is one of my downfalls. Im not a breakfast person but I know I need to eat something to keep from snacking. Hope you did well Molly!!
